Reunions 2025 feels like just yesterday – can you believe it’s been nearly two months since we were all celebrating another year together back at Old Nass? Let’s take a look at what some bandies have been up to since then…
Kate Voltz ‘26 P xDrM xDM xA: “This summer I am interning at Brooklyn Legal Services, a nonprofit that provides direct services for low-income New Yorkers (preventing eviction, bringing discrimination cases, et cetera). The photo below is of a visit to bankruptcy court. I am also enjoying classic New York experiences (LGM) and frequenting Trader Joe’s more than I should. I also just went to Geneva, Switzerland for my project with the Princeton Policy Advocacy Clinic, which was an amazing experience!”

Jasel Ross Teran ‘28 DEIC WM: “I worked on the Band’s new website! I am also completing an internship with the Pace Center here in La Paz, Bolivia.”

Delaney McCarty ‘26 T xAC xDM: “I’m working on my thesis this summer! My project is concerned with improving the coding, and therefore the accuracy, of the largest current phylogenetic database for extinct lissamphibia. This means that I spend my time reading through and implementing suggested character changes (from both my lab members and earlier publications) and learning a whole lot about amphibian anatomy and phylogenetic theory. I’ve included a picture of my new friend Mastodonsaurus Giganteus (AMNH). He’s not the focus of my studies but I love him nonetheless. On the side, I’ve been working on campus at the Mendel Music Library, spending quality time with my dog, and doing a lot of crochet.”

Lucien “LLLucien” Chidester ‘28 LL: “I spent the month of June in Germany with the Princeton in Leipzig program, studying German and learning about music history at the International Bach Festival! I got to see a ton of great concerts, and we even had a small performance ourselves to end the program. Leipzig is such a beautiful city, and I’m glad I had a chance to experience it!”

Liz “LLLiz” Superfin ‘28 LL: “I’m an engineering intern at a non-profit in Medellín through Princeton IIP, helping design & print prosthetics for Colombians with limb differences! I’ve (unwillingly) become quite familiar with conventional printing through libing, but 3D-printing is my one true love so my job is awesome and I’m really enjoying CADing, practicing my Spanish, and exploring the region :D”

Ian Bellush ‘28 DM: “I am interning at a consulting engineering firm in their geotechnical engineering department. I’ve been going out to work sites to do all kinds of observation, testing, surveying and sampling. I have also spent a lot of time in the firm’s engineering testing lab, which is very fun. I get to do lots of cool tests on samples for density, moisture, load capacity, and more. It’s a very hands-on internship with lots of trust for interns to manage tasks and forge their own path. In my opinion the coolest part of my job is I get to travel to really cool sites all over New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and sometimes even Connecticut.”

Ariane Adcroft ‘26 DrM xHM xDEIC xDM: “I’m working in the CHAOS Lab in the Andlinger Center, building a hydronics setup for HVAC controls experiments. In my spare time I’ve been hanging out in Princeton, watching lots of sci-fi shows, and lying around in the backyard with my chickens.”

Danny Smiley ‘28 DM FLL: “I have a summer internship close to home at Northrop Grumman in their Space Systems sector! I get to work on really cool satellite projects, like [REDACTED]! I’ve even used some cutting-edge technology, including [REDACTED] and an aerospace-grade hair dryer. But the highlight of the summer by far has been seeing [REDACTED]—it’s been an unforgettable experience!”

And finally, Jacob Jackson ‘26 AC 3KotC TotY xSC xLL xA: “I’m studying abroad in Paris! I’m looking at the Paris Conservatory and its role in advancing (and, in some cases, holding back) the development of contemporary classical music. I’m also visiting some great bucket-list spots, including the Buffet and Selmer clarinet showrooms and no-doubt the classiest café in France, aptly titled Bonjour Jacob.”

Looks like we’ve all been filling that plaid-shaped hole in our hearts the best we can this summer… we’ll see you all soon to welcome the Great Class of 2029 to campus and to kick off another fantastic football season with the Tigers!
